A Little History

The Hotel owes its name to Leendert Spaander (1855-1955). In 1881, he bought a pub at the harbour from Pieter Steur, publican in Volendam, whose license dates back to 1854.
Soon, many artists found their way to the picturesque Volendam. Their paintings make the village and their residence Best Western Hotel Spaander world famous. The Hotel then had 44 rooms.
Many Celebrities and statesmen have at one time stayed at Best Western Hotel Spaander. The tangible proof of their visits can still be found on the walls of the hotel - in the form of paintings.
In 1963, became the owner, ushering in a new era of activities in terms of back maintenance and modernisation. Presently, the Hotel is also regularly updated, the result being that we can always meet the requirements and desires of our guests.

This parties folder of Best Western Hotel Spaander only contains several packages we are happy to offer to you. Of course,  it is always possible to make adjustments and/or additions.
