Parking
Best Western Hotel Spaander enclosed between the renowned Volendam Dike and Lake IJssel. Still, both buses and cars can park at our own parking facility. However there are limited car parking facilities which means a parking place is never guaranteed when you make a reservation in our Hotel.
For our hotel guests and business guests, parking is free of charge.
If you arrive during the high season with a bus, then we do advise you to make a timely reservation.
The other guests pay the following:
hourly rate car 3,- €
each additional 20 minutes 1,- €
maximum daily rate 30,- €
hourly rate bus 17,50 € for the first hour
each additional hour 5,- €
no maximum
Traffic control system
The local City Council of Edam-Volendam decided that the traffic control system, introduced last year, will once again come into effect for the tourist season 2013. This completely automated system will also have an effect on the accessibility of our hotel.
• The automated traffic control system will be enforced daily from 29th March 2013 through 1st November 2013 from 11.00 am until 11.00 pm.
• Before 11.00 am and after 11 pm traffic to and from the Best Western Hotel Spaander and Brasserie Cathrien can move without hinder.
• From 11:00 am: in the first half hour, it will only be possible for vehicles to leave the hotel. In the second half hour it will only be possible to reach the hotel.
Please pay attention that the pole allows 1 car/coach at a time!
• If you find the waiting time objectionable, we advise you to park your car or coach at the free car park on the Parallelweg. This car park is clearly marked when entering Volendam, as soon as you pass the
Julianaweg. From the Parallelweg it is approximately a 400 meter walk to reach the harbour area of Volendam.
